USES OF PRODUCTS

POULTRY

This industry completely depends on manufactured feed which requires numbers of raw materials (RM) that are not available in local market or not enough to fulfil the need. Consumption of egg, broiler and layer is not a regular demand by the locals. Almost 2.25-2.5 million tonnes/year feed is required by this sector!

FISH

Manufactured feeds for fish farming has largely increased in last 6-7 years. New technologies have been introduced to grow more fish in comparatively very small area. RM is again a challenge to produce such volume of feeds resulting imported ingredients for its production. About a million tonnes/year feed is produced for fish farming.

CATTLE

More than 0.5 million tonne/year feed is generated by the local mills to fulfil the requirements of cattle industry. The demand is complied by the combination of local and foreign RM. The sector is big due to the demand of religious festivals as well as regular consumption of meat.
